HARTINGTON – The Hartington-Newcastle Wildcat volleyball team hosted a Round Robin Tourney over the weekend.
On Saturday, Hartington-Newcastle swept Winside (25-17, 25-23) and Randolph (25-19, 25-21) but suffered a three-set loss to Howells-Dodge (25-13, 20-25, 25-12).
From the win over Winside, Abbe Morton and Kayden Jueden each recorded eight kills, followed by Belle Harms with another six. Liby Lange tacked on 25 set assists while Jueden led the team in digs with 11.
During the win over Randolph, Morten was the team leader in kills with six while Liby Lange added 16 set assists. Autumn Lammers recorded 12 digs.
In the lone loss to Howells-Dodge, Jueden again paced Hartington-Newcastle with 10 kills and seven digs. Liby Lange added 22 set assists while Lammers picked up 16 digs.
Hartington-Newcastle is now 4-1 on the year and will next visit Wausa on Tuesday, September 5.
Winside also lost to Howells-Dodge (25-21, 25-23) and Randolph (25-18, 25-22). The Wildcats are now 1-4 on the season and will travel to Plainview on Saturday, September 9.
