Announcements:

-Close Up members your puffin orders will be here Thursday. Please pick them up during HR or make arrangements to have them picked up.

-Study Hall 2nd period please go to the Library with MJ Johnson.

-Attention juniors! If anyone is interested in attending Boys or Girls Cornhusker State they need to see Mr. Kneifl before the end of the day on Thursday, February 10th.

-The HNS speech team placed 4th at Saturday's Wayne Invite.

There were two sets of finals, a champs final for the top 6 and an honors final for the next 6.

Champs finalists were:

Entertainment - Carson Jones, 4th

Humorous - Jude Krie, 2nd

Duet - Parker Hopping and Bennet Sievers, 4th, Lane Heimes and Dayton Sudbeck, 6th

OID - Turner Dendinger, Carsen Hopping, Parker Hopping, Reece Morten, and Bennet Sievers, 4th

Honors finalists were:

Humorous - Carsen Hopping, 5th

Informative - Kennedy Gotch, 5th

Poetry - Leah Reichle, 2nd

Next meet for HNS is the conference meet Wednesday in Creighton.

 

-HS Basketball at Wausa tomorrow; game order – 4:15 JV girls (2 qtrs.); 4:45 JV boys (3 qtrs.); 6:15 Varsity girls w/ Varsity boys to follow. Team bus will leave at 3:00. Wausa is having a Red Out for the American Heart Association.

 

- Youth ages 11-18 interested in joining the Cedar County Sharp Shooters Shotgun program are asked to stop by the office to pick up a flyer with information about how to join.  The Sharp Shooters program enables youth to learn and develop safe firearm handling skills and sound fundamentals of shooting.  It also offers opportunities for competition where youth can exhibit their skills.

 

-Anyone interested in working at the swimming pool this summer can pick up an application at the office. Apps are due into the City Office by February 16.

 

-Mrs. Noecker will have homework detention hall this week.
