Curiosity is crucial in making discoveries that bring important benefits. Curiosity is what compels astronauts to explore outer space and submarines to descend to the bottom of the ocean. Individuals with curiosity are more willing to take on physical risks, such as scuba diving, or social risks, such as meeting new people, in order to gain the benefits of new experiences.
